Critics have objected to Venture's Strawberry Village Cottages collaboration with Cook Inlet Housing Authority, saying the development's vivid colors make the homes look like birdhouses, and insisting that the 5-acre, 60-unit development would inevitably devolve into a slum.
Cook Inlet Housing Authority, in partnership with developers Mark Pfeffer, Jerry Neeser and Jeff Koonce, recently broke ground on the first mixed-income housing development, Grass Creek Village, at Anchorage's Creekside Town Center in Muldoon.
Other CITCI IDA program partners include The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, Wells Fargo, Cook Inlet Housing Authority and Consumer Credit Counseling Services.
