Coronary artery anomalies in 126,595 patients undergoing coronary arteriography. In the present patient, extensive cardiac evaluation, which included electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, stress test, and coronary arteriography, ruled out any evidence of cardiomyopathy. Angiography or coronary arteriography (injection of dye into the coronary vessels) and ventriculography (injection of dye into the left ventricle) should be done only when they can be used to alter the patient's treatment in a favorable way. |
