Creatine kinase, also known as phosphocreatine kinase or creatine phosphokinase, is an enzyme or type of protein that is found in several tissue types of the human body, including the muscle and the brain.
Researchers witnessed lower levels of creatine phosphokinase (CPK), an indicator of muscle injury, in the blood.
This study reports the case of a woman with severe asthenia and very high blood levels of creatine phosphokinase and lactate dehydrogenase.
