The Central Bank of Cyprus is reminding the public that the last day for the exchange of coins of the Cyprus pound is 31 December 2009.
In common with all other services, the old Cyprus pound is now doubled up in euros and what was a Cyprus "Au10-ish" trip a few years ago is now costing anyone from the UK at least Au30 Sterling.
Cyprus pounds are still legal tender, although the country switched to the euroon January 1 this year.
