The DSB was formed as a recommendation of the Second Hoover Commission task force on research, chaired by then Bell Labs President Mervin Joe Kelly, in order to "canvas periodically the needs and opportunity for studies leading to radically new weapons systems. Task forces comprised of board members supplemented by area experts address tasks assigned to the DSB by Department of Defense (DoD) leaders. Special Recognition Award -- The Business Studies Subject Council which consists of representatives of two school boards--Near North DSB and Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic DSB--was awarded this special recognition for their dedication and continuous support of The Business Centre and the FedNor Secondary School Business Plan Challenge. |
