DSEE restores the higher sound frequency lost when creating compressed music files, thus reproducing a sound quality closer to the original CD quality. Other archival concepts relevant to the e-Depot are the OAIS reference model and the NEDLIB model for DSEE Figure 8 depicts the relationship of the KB's e-Depot to the following concepts and models: [FIGURE 8 OMITTED] * The e-Depot is the operational digital archive of the KB, dedicated to long-term archiving and permanent access. The audio quality with the DSEE feature turned on is excellent; it restores parts of the music that are lost during compression and generally livens up the sound. |
