RAD's MAP family, designed for installation at the customer premises, POPs and in the Local Loop, includes the company's FCD range of TDM access units, its Megaplex line of multiservice access multiplexers (TDM or hybrid TDM, IP and Frame Relay) and its DXC series of multiservice access nodes. Telkom Kenya has deployed RAD's Megaplex-2100 and Megaplex-2200 multiservice access multiplexers, as well as its DXC family of digital access nodes, at more than 80 sites throughout its network. Under the new agreement, Lightscape Networks' XDM platforms will be deployed in the nodes of all existing MSC (Mobile Switching Centres) across Zhejiang Unicom's GSM network, using their built-in DXC (Digital Cross Connect) and multi-ADM (Add Drop Multiplexing) functionalities, thus significantly increasing the networks' capacity for voice traffic. |
