Democracy for New York City, the progressive group related to Howard Dean's Democracy for America, is holding a forum on Sunday, May 18 for the candidates in two upcoming elections: the one for Sheldon Silver's Assembly seat, and the challenge to State Senator Marty Connor.
Democracy for New York City will have a Link Up at several locations throughout the city, including at Cosi’s at 2160 Broadway at 76th Street, Molly Pitcher’s Ale House at 1641 Second Avenue at 85th Street, and Ozzie’s at 249 Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn.
“I’ve heard from varying sources that they are upset that she’s not even getting a slap on the wrist for this,” said Heather Woodfield, a registered Democrat and the director of Democracy for New York City, a group of Dean supporters.
