In Colorado, Denver Urban Gardens, or DUG, is exploring the long-term positive effects of community gardens through "Gardens for Growing Healthy Communities," a three-year research project in collaboration with the University of Colorado School of Medicine and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Partners in Denver are joining Denver Urban Gardens in an effort to beautify the city's parks on April 26.
