Dirona picta has been reported from as far north as Cape Meares, Oregon (Goddard 1997) but has rarely been observed on the outer coast of Oregon (Goddard 1984: 159, 1990), and the only specimen recorded from Cape Arago was during the strong 1997-98 El Nino (JG, personal observations).
