At a Downtown-Lower Manhattan Association award ceremony for David Rockefeller on the 60th floor of One Chase Manhattan Plaza yesterday evening, the 92-year-old billionaire patriarch of the ultra wealthy Rockefeller clan--who is considered one of the most powerful and influential men in the world--was honored with a renaming of the building's spacious plaza.
The Downtown-Lower Manhattan Association celebratd its half-century of lasting contributions at cocktail reception honoring D-LMA founder and former Chairman David Rockefeller.
At the annual meeting of the Downtown-Lower Manhattan Association, Kevin Rampe, chairman of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation and Tom Renyi, chairman and CEO of the Bank of New York, discussed the future of Lower Manhattan--noting both individual events and the importance of keeping Lower Manhattan as the financial capital of the world.
