UHS will initially install the EDIS in five of its acute care facilities, but plans to eventually expand the system to 25 of its emergency departments, which serve more than 800,000 patients each year, according to the company.
Patient Tracking and Monitoring As the expansion project got underway, CentraState sought the new EDIS to help eliminate barriers and bottlenecks in triage and treatment.
The EDIS system was invented by Derrick Collin, who will remain as chairman and retains 40pc ownership.
