A new subsidiary, Munich Re Life Re EECA, now will be able to conduct life reinsurance transactions in the CIS states in Russian currency. In 1996, Knorr retired from Siemens to pursue management consultancy positions and remained closely associated with the European Semiconductor Industry as Chairman of the Policy Committee of EECA (European Electronics Components Manufacturer Association). EECA and KSIA joined in April 1997, and the TSIA recently joined the WSC in 1999. |
