The project will have five components: i) a 60 km natural gas pipeline from the gas processing center at Bakhrabad to the power generation site at Siddhirganj; ii) a 300 MW peaking power plant at Siddhirganj, composed of simple-cycle gas turbines; iii) an 11 km, 230 kv transmission line from Siddhirganj to the Maniknagar grid substation in South Dhaka, plus associated switchgear; iv) technical assistance to support the base fees of an operations and maintenance (O&M) contractor for the power plant, and owner~s engineers for the GTCL and PGCB components; and v) core management information systems for GTCL and EGCB.
He also released O&M Manual prepared by NTPC Consultancy Wing for Siddhirganj 2x120 MW Gas Power Plant of EGCB Bangladesh.
The project is being implemented by the EGCB in cooperation with the Japanese Marubeni Corporation as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor.
