They indicate that OIB mantle sources represent mixtures between mid-ocean ridge basalt (MORB) mantle and four other mantle components: EM1 (enriched mantle 1), EM2, HIMU (High U/Pb = Hi [mu]) and FOZO (FOcal ZOne). For embryos, four separate hybridizations [embryo microarray (EM) 1 through 4] addressed both biological and technical variation, using independent samples for EM1, EM2, and EM3/4, and dye reversal of the same samples (based on 12 litters) for EM3 and EM4. They reportedly can also meet requirements for flame retardancy, impact and wear resistance, color, electroplating, and EM1 shielding. |
