Hainan Airlines had cut to 25 its original order for 50 ERJ 145 jets made by Embraer's joint venture in China, a Beijing-based spokeswoman for Embraer told AFP.
The AE 3007 powers the Embraer ERJ 145 family of regional aircraft, the Embraer Legacy 600 business jet and the Cessna Citation X.
Rolls has delivered more than 1,900 AE 3007 engines to Embraer since the ERJ 145 entered service in 1996.
