Under a previous CA-OES contract, SYS supported development of the ERMN and deployed several instances in Northern California (CA) including both the Office of Emergency Preparedness (OES) and CALTRANS headquarters in Sacramento. Tom Worden, OES' Chief Technology Officer, said, "OES is encouraging local governments to consider deploying ERMN in their emergency Operations Centers to improve public safety situational awareness, response times, resource management, and organizational agility. The ERMN is a multi-phased initiative funded jointly by the Department of Homeland Security through its Office of Domestic preparedness and the State of California being led by the CA-OES and CALTRANS. |
