The Earth Day Network released its first Urban Environment Report in February 2007, ranking the 72 largest cities in the United States by more than 200 environmental, health, and quality of life indicators.
In October of last year, a study commissioned by the Earth Day Network found that more than 50 percent of Americans are extremely concerned about global warming and its effects on their lives and are siding with candidates who actively address the issue.
