The Israeli Blitzkrieg across the Sinai essentially bypassed the EIMAC mechanism and the UNTSO observers wound up blockaded in the Gaza Strip and subsequently evacuated by the US Sixth Fleet to destroyers off the coast. Electronic components distributor Richardson Electronics and the Eimac division of Communications and Power Industries have signed an agreement naming Richardson as an authorized distributor of Eimac's power tube rebuilding service. Murray Kennedy, Executive Vice President and General Manager for Richardson Electronics Electron Devices Group, stated that "Communications & Power Industries and Richardson Electronics have long had a close and very effective business relationship, first through CPI's Eimac division, and now with ECONCO. |
