The shorts observed on the transistors are the result of an electrical overstress (EOS), most likely an overcurrent scenario as indicated by damage observed on the failed transistor. Initially, the company focused on distributing electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical overstress evaluation equipment, using its success in this area to develop high performance automatic test equipment. Unlike other extraction products, Fire & Ice retains all of the separate capacitive components that are extracted, which enables accurate analysis of interconnect reliability due to electromigration and electrical overstress. |
