For the last couple of years one of those commercials belonged to Diamond Foods; last year's campaign used Robert Goulet touting its Emerald Nuts brand.
This year, the organization had more than 100 athletes sign up for Sunday's marathon and joint Emerald Nuts 5K Run/Walk.
It was previously called the Diamond Walnut Bowl and will continue to be sponsored by the same company, which prefers to promote its new Emerald Nuts line of snack foods.
