In addition to the updated IDE clinical trial results, Medtronic also reports on the AneuRx Post-Market Surveillance Registry and the Lifeline Registry of Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, both of which provide contemporary, real-world usage data on the AneuRx Stent Graft. When the aneurysm is detected before it has ruptured, patients can be treated with a high rate of success using either open surgery or endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), a minimally invasive procedure in which a tube-like sleeve called an endovascular stent graft is placed inside the aorta. Six centers used the PowerWeb System for elective endovascular aneurysm repair in 79 patients. |
