Translating the results of this research into information that can be understood and used by a lay audience can be difficult, but the Community Outreach and Translation Core (COTC) of the NIEHS-funded Bay Area Breast Cancer and the Environment Research Center (BABCERC) has created a DVD for the public that offers simple, understandable descriptions and updates on various mouse models being used in breast cancer research. As Holly Fretwell of the Property and Environment Research Center has noted, "Under the Third Amendment to the Constitution, Americans cannot be forced to quarter soldiers in their houses, but under the [Endangered Species Act] Americans can be forced to harbor listed birds, snails, wolves and bears. Anderson is the John and Jean DeNault Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution and the executive director of PERC-the Property and Environment Research Center located in Bozeman, Montana. |
