A deviation greater than two centimeters requires further investigation to determine estimated fetal weight accurately. All patients with a confirmed gestational age of 23 weeks and/or an estimated fetal weight of 500 g received both Maternal Fetal Medicine and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit consultations. Except for birth weight, postpartum factors were not modeled because this information would not be available to the obstetrician developing a delivery plan; birth weight was used as a surrogate for estimated fetal weight, since the latter measure was not available in these patient records. |
