Her accomplishments as a performer, teacher, lecturer, author and founder of two international professional music organizations European Piano Teachers Association in 1978 and the International Society for the Study of Tension in Performance in 1981--has made a significant impact on the field of piano teaching worldwide and makes her a very deserving recipient of this prestigious recognition.
In 1978, Grindea founded the European Piano Teachers Association and, from there, launched the Piano Journal, from which these interviews are taken.
She also has given workshops and presentations, at the European Piano Teachers Association International Conference, the World Piano Pedagogy Conference and MTNA National Conferences.
