Other Baptist groups developed as well: the Evangelical Baptist Mission started in Marseille (south of France) in 1956, a small network of missionary churches around Paris developed by Conservative Baptists in the last third of the century, and numerous small Baptist missions (most of them belonging to a fundamentalist line) started "church planting" efforts.
