J-1- This is also known as Exchange visitor visa and is useful in cultural and educational programs in the United States.
Physicians either educated in the United States or certified by ECFMG, may apply for employment through either work visas or exchange visitor visas (J-1visa) and later immigration to the United States (permanent residence).
J1 exchange visitor visa holders would have to pay a smaller fee of $35, and international students would not have to pay the SEVIS fee again if they were rejected for a visa--as long as they reapply within nine months of being denied.
