First fielded in 1995, the M1114 Up-Armoured Hummer (UAH), based on the Expanded Capacity Vehicle (ECV) chassis, was intended to equip only army scout platoons and military police units.
It is based on the US AM General High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, the HMMWV, and the M1113 expanded capacity vehicle variant in particular.
