The government created the Federal Bridge Certificate Authority (FBCA) to provide an environment in which Federal agencies can request and perform cross-certification with other PKIs, which allows all entities participating in the FBCA to recognize and trust digital signatures and certificates sent from and between participating organizations.
DST has a track record of 'firsts,' and today's recognition by the FBCA for achievement in interoperability marks yet another milestone for innovation and determination within our company.
The FBCA has rigorously tested the Baltimore UniCERT(TM) Certificate Authority to prove compatibility with the public-key infrastructures of federal agencies.
