Muscat, May 3 (ONA) The 46th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers (FGCCC) was held at Barr al Jassa Resort today under the chairmanship of Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al- Thani, Chairman of FGCCC, in the presence of the heads of federations and chambers in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
In his speech in the 46th meeting of Board of Directors of FGCCC on Sunday, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassem underlined the necessity of developing FGCCC working mechanisms and programs stemmed basically from the federation's strategies approved in Kuwait.
Abdel Rahim Hassan Naqi, Secretary-General of the FGCCC said that there was an urgent need for joint cooperation between the public and private sectors in the Arab countries in order to face the repercussions of the global financial crisis and to protect Arab wealth by allowing the Arab private sector to take part in economic activities in all sectors.
The FGCCC has signed a memorandum of understanding with a UK-based media production company, Global Business Television that was approved by the board of directors of the FGCCC in its 33rd session in Riyadh.
