The FGD system for Iberdrola will be an altogether new installation while that for Endesa is to upgrade a previously delivered FGD system in order to boost desulfurization capacity. The FGD experience in the present study suggests that workplace health promotion programs will have to be creative and allow participants to work through these barriers, misconceptions, and contradictions before workers will be in a position to identify mediating factors that may enable them to meet work and life commitments that include good health-related choices. First is that the coal plants with an FGD byproduct have to prevent all the mercury and perhaps other contaminants from being emitted. |
