A division of the ministry known as FINEP, in particular its INOVAR Initiative, will work with New Ventures to expand venture capital investments in sustainable enterprises. FINEP, a government-funded research firm, joined small business agency Sebrae, the Petros pension fund of state-run oil company Petrobras and the Inter-American Development Bank in launching Inovar, a local technology incubator. Organizations supporting the second annual I DO Conference include: CNPq, the national scientific and development council for research and technology, FINEP, which helps finance technology products in Brazil; SEPRORS, the sponsor of IT activities in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, SEBRAE, the small business administration in Brazil, and IBM. |
