For over twenty years, the FMCP has existed to assist in the management of GS-12 through GS-15 civilian positions and the professional development of GS-11 through GS-15 individuals within the FM workforce.
A March 2008 FMCP survey of 135 pharmacy directors, medical directors and chief executive officers of managed care plans found that three-fifths of respondents were familiar or extremely familiar with the AMCP Format.
In October, FMCP announced two vacancies for career broadening, requiring nominees to be within one year of a financial management related degree.
