Daily News FNET BUYS ISP: FNet, an Internet subsidiary of Westlake Village-based Franklin Telecom, has purchased LDNet, an Ohio Internet service provider and voice-over IP firm.
It seems likely that part of the current buying frenzy could have been caused by short sellers covering their positions, but I suspect the short covering could be over; remember that FNET is a small company, and the volume of stock traded during the past few days is certainly enough to cover all of those short-sold stocks several times over.
