The most common grade 3 or greater toxicities observed in the treatment arms (ERBITUX plus FOLFIRI, ERBITUX plus FOLFOX, FOLFIRI alone, or FOLFOX alone) were diarrhea (22%, 14%, 15%, and 10%, respectively) and absolute neutrophil count (34%, 38%, 27%, and 36%, respectively). Instead, oncologists cited other data and preferred the combination of Eloxatin as part of the FOLFOX regimen with Avastin in the first-line setting. Scientists also characterized the pre-clinical anti-tumor activity of OSI-930 in combination with the chemotherapeutics agents, cisplatin/ etoposide in small cell lung cancer and FOLFOX in colorectal carcinoma. |
