FTIR-ATR was performed using a spectrometer Nicolet Impact 410 and a Spectratech Thunderdome equipped with a germanium crystal. Abstract The curing kinetics of UV-curable powder coatings based on commercial unsaturated polyesters were monitored using photo-DSC, Real-Time FTIR-ATR and a modified rheometer equipped with a UV source. Of those evaluated, electron spin resonance (ESR) and FTIR-ATR spectroscopy were deduced as preferable because of the short exposure times necessary to obtain significant results under UVA that predict, quantitatively, a coating's lifetime. |
