The Federal Computer Incident Response Center (FedCIRC) has released a paper addressing defensive maneuvers against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
STAT Scanner scans for all the Microsoft Windows, Solaris/HP-UX Unix and Red Hat/Mandrake Linux IT vulnerabilities in the Federal Computer Incident Response Center (FedCIRC) vulnerability catalog, the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) list, the SANS Top 20 Internet Security Vulnerabilities list, the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) advisories list, as well as the Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) issued by the Department of Defense and all branches of the U.
In 2002, The Federal Computer Incident Response Center (FedCIRC) contracted SecureInfo and Veridian to provide security intelligence, malicious virus awareness and security patch authentication and dissemination to all Federal civilian agencies under the Patch Authentication and Dissemination Capabilities (PADC) contract.
