Our empirical evidence suggests that this is due to the fact the US studies include in their non-hedging sample other hedging firms, such as firms using non-derivative methods for hedging, which can bias the results against finding positive leverage and firm value effects.
We directly test the impact of increases in global and industrial diversification on firm value and operating performance.
Topics include: the implications of moving customer service operations online, firm value effects of web site redesign, why many internet-based Business-to-Consumer companies failed during the dotcom boom, a framework for user perception of effective e-tail web sites, and e-commerce education in China, among others.
