For an English assignment, Katherman tested the bacteria content at four North Bend Middle School water fountains and one toilet to challenge a four-year-old policy that banned students from bringing bottled water into class (some were sneaking in alcohol that way). Organiser Andrea Kelleher, who facilitated the four North Island conventions, said feedback showed delegates felt more confident about involving members in union issues and about encouraging them to own their part in NZNO. All four North Carolinians were male, were field hands, and were exceptional men in their own right--self-directed, determined, and eloquent. |
