The ACS8525 uniquely incorporates protection switching for both the synchronization reference clock and the associated Frame Sync to provide a benefit called "group switching" which enables simultaneous switching of multiple line cards. nbsp;that denote the beginning of distinct network transmissions and a "frame error" describes a situation when a frame bit is in error, causing active network elements to lose frame sync. Since the VSC9184 and VSC9182 were designed to interface directly and scale with each other, they also provide a low-power, smaller-space and cost-effective solution by eliminating the need for external backplane components and complex clock and frame sync distribution. |
