Part of the reason that libraries have been slow to embrace a Web-based model for electronic document exchange has been that the de facto standard, Ariel, is built around a formal standard, GEDI (Generic Electronic Document Interchange, ISO 17933), that was finalized in the very early days of the Web. As information is expanding beyond traditional data center boundaries, participants can learn about the benefits of implementing the Global Enterprise Data Infrastructure (GEDI) strategy, how McDATA's tiered networking model enables this strategy, and how McDATA's Intrepid 10000 (ED-10000M) backbone director and Eclipse 2640 (MP-2640) SAN Routers complements EMC's ILM offerings to enable the GEDI. This promotes McDATA's GEDI strategy and establishes a better positioned data infrastructure company with the breadth of products, services, and solutions to deliver to OEM partners and customers their shared vision of the optimized global data infrastructure. |
