GKDC, the authority charged with redeveloping and commercializing Kelly Air Force Base which is scheduled for closure on July 13, 2001, has already signed long-term leases with the following tenants: The Boeing Company, Pratt & Whitney, Ryder Logistics, EG&G, General Electric, MQS, RailCar America, Frost Bank, SACU, Cartsmith, Boots and Coots, Clark Freight Lines, Safety Equipment Company, AAR Allen Services Inc.
The GKDC holds the prestigious status of being the Department of Defense's model for successful base closures.
