Rising gas oil ratios in the Marib oil fields have resulted in a slowdown in oil production to avoid flaring gas pending the acquisition of processing facilities.
5 m KB, co-mingled with the lower Albian formation, and flowed at a rate of 3,465 bopd of 20 degrees API sweet crude at a flowing wellhead pressure of 250 psig and a gas oil ratio of 197 scf/bbl following a nine hour test period.
This Albian formation was perforated from 1,248 to 1,263 m KB and after cleanup, flowed at a rate of 3,165 bopd of 20 degrees API sweet crude at a flowing well-head pressure of 175psig and a gas oil ratio of 350 scf/bbl after a four hour test period.
