IBM's General Parallel File System (GPFS) will provide a high-performance scalable environment to support a minimum of 100TB disk storage. The Supersystem is based on Intel dual-core Dempsey processors and includes a high-performance storage subsystem with 60 Tb/s of raw Data Direct Networks storage running the IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS). The system also uses IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS), a high-performance shared disk file system that provides fast data access from all of the nodes in the cluster. |
