Yossi Kupperwasser tells the Knesset foreign affairs and defence committee that his division received a general warning of an Al Qaida attack in Kenya, where 16 people were killed on Nov. The White House says it issued a general warning to the Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration and airports around the country. If they were telling local law enforcement, they had to tell the public too (news might leak, and if something had happened without a general warning, there would have been hell to pay). |
