Byline: Jade Wright 1966 The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations Composed by and produced by Brian Wilson, with lyrics by Wilson and Mike Love, the band's first UK number one was released as a single on October 10, 1966.
It would be ridiculous to expect Wilson's voice to retain the same resonance as the boy-genius who crafted Good Vibrations or Barbara Ann.
But Brian Wilson's 60s Beach Boys sound - the melancholy magic of Pet Sounds to the pop alchemy of Good Vibrations - has ensured him a place in musical mythology, so it's no surprise this Greatest Hits Show sold out so quickly.
