MOS 96H, Aerial Intelligence Specialist is restructured to Ground Station Module (GSM) Operator for Joint STARS.
During this experiment, one Joint STARS Aircraft with an associated ground station module and a common ground station and two French HORIZON helicopters with two HORIZON ground stations were used to gather data about traffic movement in a prescribed area.
The GDT is the ground segment of the Joint STARS data link communication between the Air Force's E-8C aircraft and the Army's Ground Station Modules.
