The US Treasury Department has identified HESA as a company controlled by the Iranian defense ministry and armed forces, and as having provided support to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Justice Department said.
Feb 22, 2009 Antonov Unconfirmed reports indicate an aircraft that crashed in central Iran on 15 February, apparently with several deaths, was an Antonov An-140 turboprop licence-built in Isfahan by HESA.
The chief executive of HESA, Prof Robin Sibson, said: "Hesa is disappointed to find that it is no longer possible to publish information relevant to the RAE that would have been of considerable interest both within the higher education sector and more widely.
