In a report revealing how the NHS is performing against 10 key standards, HIW said of Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust: "Overall the general feeling is that staff will try their very best to treat patients well, both clinically and personally, but there are clear deficiencies in both the environment and the general organisation of health services which hamper their efforts.
