He is a founding member and prior president of the Heart Failure Society of America. The Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) issued its Comprehensive Heart Failure Guidelines for 2006, which state that, "A strong recommendation now exists for the addition of the fixed combination of isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) and hydralazine to the standard medical regimen for African Americans with heart failure. |
